AlwaysFree: Teijin to Build New Recycling Site in Thailand

Author: SSESSMENTS

Japan’s Teijin Group’s fibers and products converting company Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd. announced that its main  base for polyester fiber manufacturing, Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Limited (TPL), will build a new recycling site in Thailand.

The new site will convert used domestically-produced plastic bottles into recycled polyester chips for the production of high-quality polyester filament with a production capacity of 7,000 tpa of recycled polyester chips by the fiscal year 2025 after starting operation in January 2022.

TPL will use Teijin Frontier’s proprietary quality-control technologies in its comprehensive system. The raw yarn produced at TPL will be used in Teijin Frontier’s ECOPET recycled filament yarn.
