According to the company’s website press release on April 25, 2023, the Siam Cement Public Company Limited (or “SCC”) hereby announce that SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (or “SCGP”) a subsidiary of SCC has disclosed the information of Notification of Interest to Invest in “Starprint Vietnam JSC”, Offset Folding Carton Packaging Manufacturer in Vietnamto the Stock Exchange of Thailand as the details in the attachment.
Thus, this transaction is considered an acquisition transaction of SCC. With ongoing procedures to finalize the transaction of SCGP, the calculation of the total transaction size, following the disclosure rule for the acquisition and disposition of assets of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, has yet to carry out. Nonetheless, the estimation to this transaction when combined with those in the past six months prior to the date of this transaction is less than 15% of total assets stated in SCC’s consolidated financial statements as at December 31, 2022. This transaction is not a connected transaction.
