On Wednesday, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said that in the US crude hub at Cushing, Oklahoma, stockpiles dipped last week to the lowest level since September 2018.
Crude inventories plunged to 26.4 million barrels in the hub.
Gasoline stockpiles dropped to the lowest level since November 2017 at 212.7 million barrels.
