The US Department of Energy (DOE) has approved exports of LNG from Ferus Natural Gas’ proposed Eagle Jacksonville project in Jacksonville, Florida. According to DOE, the approval will allow exports of 34.66 bcfd of LNG and compressed natural gas by ocean-going vessels or containers to any country with no free trade agreement with the US.
In September, Ferus Natural Gas received an authorization to construct and operate the Eagle Jacksonville project from the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The project is aimed to handle LNG exports at small-scale volumes.
