AlwaysFree: US Gulf of Mexico Oil Output Slumped After Hurricane

According to the US Department of Interior, oil output of the US Gulf of Mexico was down on Tuesday, by 28.4% of daily production, or 525,099 bpd, while energy firms have restarted more activity in the region after Hurricane Laura passed.

In the Gulf, 71 platforms out of 643 manned ones were still evacuated. It was an improvement from 117 platforms closed on Monday.

Natural gas production in the Gulf was also resumed. During the hurricane, the output was down by roughly 25% or 676.55 mcfd.
