Analysts estimated that the US natural gas storage would hit the lowest level since 2018 at the end of the April-October injection season at 3.579 tcf.
In comparison, in October 2020, the level was at the highest level in four years at 3.929 tcf and in a five-year average of 3.751 tcf. Still, the current level would still be higher compared to the 13-year low reached at the end of October 2018 at 3.326 tcf.
Moving onward, on March 31, 2022, storage would fall to the lowest level since 2019 at 1.418 tcf.
