AlwaysFree: US Specialty Chemical Markets Enter Third Quarter On Strong Note: ACC

The American Chemistry Council reported that US specialty chemicals market volumes expanded 1.1% in July, accelerating 0.3% growth in June. This means that the volumes are just 2.4% below pre-pandemic levels. ACC monitors 28 specialty chemical segments and said that 23 of them expanded last month, compared to just 13 in the prior month. Four segments decreased in July while one was steady, ACC said. In July, total specialty chemicals volumes rose to 3.45 million metric tons, up by 10.1% year on year. All 28 chemical segments posted gains. Volumes were up 3.9% year-to-date by the start of the third quarter, ACC said.
