On Tuesday, Valero Energy Corp. shut its 335,000 bpd Port Arthur refinery in Texas ahead of Hurricane Laura.
A spokeswoman said that the shutdown was organized to assure safety and to protect the environment in advance of the arrival of Hurricane Laura.
