The liquefaction equipment for the Calcasieu Pass LNG export project has passed the virtual string test. The project is being developed by Venture Global LNG in Cameron Parish. The string test was conducted in Massa (Italy) at a Baker Hughes facility.
The company pointed out the engineering, functionality and performance of the project’s process system proven by the first Calcasieu Pass mixed refrigerant compression system string test.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, virtual technology used by Baker Hughes and Venture Global to conduct the test. By using advanced digital and remote access, the string test monitored by 21 people in 5 cities worldwide. The test in Massa directly observed by the local field technicians for Venture Global and Baker Hughes.
