According to the company’s website news release on September 16, 2022, the latest Financing Supply and Demand Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia in August 2022 indicates positive demand for new corporate financing, as reflected by a weighted net balance (WNB) of 17.9%. Demand for financing was primarily sourced from internal funds, which remained dominant, followed by committed undisbursed loans. Meanwhile, financing in the form of domestic bank loans tended to increase.
New loan disbursements by the banking industry in August 2022 increased compared to the previous period in line with indications of growing corporate demand for domestic bank loans, driven by customer demand as well as the promising monetary and economic outlook, as reported by the survey. Meanwhile, respondents predict positive yet moderating growth in terms of new loan disbursements overall in the third quarter of 2022.
In terms of households, demand for new financing was relatively stable in August 2022, with commercial banks remaining the primary source of additional household financing, dominated by multipurpose loans. In addition, households also relied on other sources to meet their financing needs, including cooperatives and leasing.
