Author: SSESSMENTS

According to the company’s website news release on September 15, 2022, a number of documents on the development of scientific & technical cooperation with Russian enterprises and organizations were signed at St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2022.

Gazprom and Rubin Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering signed an Agreement of Cooperation.

The parties intend to establish an effective collaboration in creating offshore infrastructure and subsea robotic devices for the surveying and pre-development of offshore gas and oil fields.

Gazprom and Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation signed two agreements of cooperation.

Pursuant to the first of these documents, the parties will explore the possibility of using the capacities of Almaz-Antey to create cryogenic fuel tanks for transport vehicles powered by liquefied natural gas – a cost-effective and eco-friendly fuel.

The second document envisages joint efforts aimed at developing equipment for gas processing and helium production facilities.

Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo and Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation signed an Agreement of Cooperation.

The parties will work to create a product line of state-of-the-art domestic compressor equipment of various capacities with the purpose of producing compressed natural gas at CNG filling stations.

The Agreement was signed in the follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding inked in 2019. In compliance with the Memorandum, Almaz-Antey manufactured two industrial prototypes of compressor units which were delivered to Gazprom's CNG station in Bratsk (Irkutsk Region) as part of the ongoing renovation process.

Gazprom, Akron Holding, and the Government of the Pskov Region signed an Agreement of Cooperation.

The main purpose of the document is to provide for the upgrading of the existing welding systems and to master the manufacturing of advanced and unique welding systems (flash welding) to be used in building and repairing gas trunklines.

Gazprom and the Government of the Pskov Region will provide Akron Holding with information, advice and coordination support during the implementation of this investment project.

Gazprom Space Systems, Research & Production Company Micran, and Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk signed a Long-term Cooperation Agreement. The parties will join forces to develop domestic equipment for satellite communication systems in the interests of Gazprom.

It is planned that Gazprom Space Systems will draw up the requirements to the equipment of satellite and ground communication systems, and will also provide its satellite infrastructure to Micran for performing tests on product prototypes.

Micran will arrange for the development and production of fixed and mobile satellite communication terminals, as well as communication equipment for spacecraft in the interests of Gazprom. Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk will become a testing ground to check the performance of equipment used at production facilities in the eastern regions of Russia.

REP Holding and Sakhalin Energy signed an Agreement of Cooperation.

The document provides for a set of measures pertaining to the operation, major repairs and retrofitting of gas compressor equipment at the facilities of the Sakhalin II project.

The Agreement will expand the scope of cooperation between the companies. By now, three Ladoga gas compressor units manufactured by REP Holding have been delivered to the booster compressor station that is currently under construction at the onshore processing facility of Sakhalin II.

Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, one of Gazprom's anchor universities, signed an Agreement of Cooperation.

The parties intend to expand their cooperation on, inter alia, information and innovative technologies, digitalization of business processes, and sci-tech, expert examination and educational activities.

The university regularly performs research and design work to meet the current and potential objectives of the Gazprom Group. The educational institution trains students under employer-sponsored contracts signed with the Group and provides professional retraining and development for employees.

Gazprom Pererabotka and four anchor universities partnering with Gazprom – Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Kazan National Research Technological University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, and Industrial University of Tyumen – signed a Joint Action Plan for 2022–2024.

The parties will step up their cooperation in personnel training for Gazprom Pererabotka, as well as in professional retraining and development of employees.

The measures envisaged by the Plan include the updating and drafting of educational programs, development of the training & laboratory aids of the universities, and provision of practical training for students at the facilities of Gazprom Pererabotka.

A prototype of the Mi-171A3, Russia's first offshore helicopter, was presented at SPIGF 2022. The prototype was manufactured for Gazprom by Russian Helicopters. The Company will use Mi-171A3 helicopters for cargo and passenger transportation at the fields located on the continental shelf, as well as for search and rescue operations if needed.
