According to the company’s website news release on September 8, 2022, as the Golden Week national holiday period in China approaches, Maersk is looking to balance the network in light of forecasted reductions in demand and reduced workforce to handle cargo operations.
Maersk's overall goal is to ensure minimal disruption to customers before, during and after Golden Week, with structural changes and alternative routings in place to enhance supply chain predictability.
