According to China’s General Administration of Customs, the total exports of PP have increased by around 5k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 33.7k tons. Such figures are relatively larger as compared to about 23.5k tons in October 2018.
For the period of Jan - Oct 2019, China exported a total of 330k tons of PP, up by 12.5% year-on-year.
The top 5 export origins of PP to China in October were Vietnam (12,698 tons), Hong Kong (4,858 tons), Japan (3,334 tons), Taiwan (1,420 tons) and Indonesia (1,359 tons).
For PP-Homopolymer, the export quantity has increased marginally by around 4k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 28k tons. Nonetheless, such figures posted a year-on-year growth of 40%.
The top 5 export origins to China in October were Vietnam (11,864 tons), Hong Kong (2,532 tons), The Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (1,396 tons), Indonesia (1,356 tons) and Japan (1,343 tons).
For PP-Copolymers, the total export quantity has increased by around 1k tons in October compared to the previous month, at around 151k tons. On a year-over-year comparison, the latest export volume in October showed an increase of 56.1%. The top 5 import origins to China in October were Hong Kong (2,327) tons), Japan (1,992 tons), Vietnam (834 tons), Thailand (145 tons) and Australia (88 tons).
