- Following the decreases in the futures market, a trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the trader’s offers for local PE cargoes across all grades have been adjusted lower between CNY50-150/ton ($7-21/ton) compared to Thursday’s level. Despite the adjustment, the trader noted that that the current local PE offers are still at a high level especially for LDPE Film as the offers have reached CNY9,000/ton-level. While from the import market, the offers for Middle Eastern cargoes are captured higher than last week. On a weekly comparison, the offers have increased between $10-30/ton for HDPE Film, $20-30/ton for LDPE Film, and $10-20/ton for LLDPE Film C4.
- Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the inventory of the leading Chinese polyolefins producers recorded at 665,000 tons as of Friday morning, increased by 5,000 tons from Thursday’s level. However, when compared to Monday’s level, the inventory decreased by 70,000 tons.
