- Following the increases in the futures market, the offers for local HDPE Film and LDPE Film cargoes from a trader increased by CNY50/ton ($7/ton) from last Friday’s level. For local LLDPE Film C4 cargoes, the trader increased offers between CNY50-100/ton ($7-14/ton) compared to the same period. At the moment, some local LLDPE Film C4 offers already above CNY7,000/ton-level, hence, buyers are showing resistance towards the offers and unwilling to make purchases. Moreover, most market players predict the possibility for the price to move lower when the supply increases once imported materials arrive at China ports, coupled with additional capacity from the new plants that projected to start production by July. The trader added to SSESSMENTS.COM that last week, import HDPE Film and LDPE Film offers of Middle East origin increased by $20/ton compared to the offer level in the first week of June. While for import LLDPE Film C4 of the same origin, the offers hiked between $15-20/ton from the first week of June.
- A producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company’s offers for LLDPE Film C4 have been adjusted lower by CNY50/ton ($7/ton) compared to a week earlier. Currently, the offers for LLDPE Film C4 are available at CNY7,100/ton ($1,002/ton) on cash, EXW China basis, and including 13% VAT.
