- A Chinese trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM that in the last ten days, the sales in the China market were quite satisfactory. Since the beginning of last week up to Tuesday, there were around 100,000 tons of US PE cargoes sold to China market. But approaching Wednesday, the sales began to shrink again. More added, the US suppliers are trying to deliver as much as they can in April as starting from May, shipment cost from the US to China will increase substantially. From the trader’s end, the company is currently offering Saudi HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 at $780/ton on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis.
- A Saudi producer reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that since last week, the company has sold out all allocation for April shipment and started offering for May shipment to the China market. As reported, the latest offers from their side stood at $780/ton for HDPE Film and $770/ton for LLDPE Film C4. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis and the cargoes are already available in Singapore Port. Pertaining to the local prices in China that have started to cool down since Wednesday, the producer is not surprised as they believe that the uptrend will not sustain considering the weak demand from converters in general coupled with ample domestic supply in China.
