- A China-based trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on making another round of adjustment for PE cargoes across different grades. As of April 22, the latest offers from the trader for HDPE Film and LDPE Film emerged at CNY200/ton ($28/ton) and CNY300/ton ($42/ton) lower, respectively, as compared to a day earlier. While for LLDPE Film C4, the trader is also corrected down the offers by CNY300-400/ton ($42-56/ton) as compared to the same period.
- From the import market, several traders informed SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving PE offers from Japanese and US suppliers. From Japan, the offers for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 are available in the China market at $760/ton and $730/ton, respectively. At the moment, the trader who received the offers has submitted bids at $50/ton lower than the initial offer levels for both cargoes. However, still no response from the supplier regarding the bids so far. On the other hand, another trader also received offers for LLDPE Film C4 of US origin at $600/ton. The trader placed bids at $20/ton lower than the initial offer level but rejected by the supplier. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis.
