- A global trading house contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team on April 24 revealed the import PE offers to the country. The leading Indian petrochemical producer is offering for June shipment. LLDPE Film C4 remains stable at $670/ton, while offers for LDPE Film down by $40/ton from May’s level, stand at $760/ton. For United Arab Emirates origin, the offers are for May shipment. HDPE Film offers down by $20/ton at $700/ton, LDPE Film down by $40/ton at $760/ton while offers for LLDPE Film C4 remain stable at $790/ton, all compared to April. For Saudi cargoes, HDPE Film available at $740/ton and $720/ton for LLDPE Film C4. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China main port basis.
- A local trader stated to SSESSMENTS.COM that buying sentiment for PE is good at the moment. The trader even could not get additional allocation for Thai LLDPE Film C4 cargoes as the producer has sold out all the allocation. The producer has sold at least 10,000 tons on April 23. The increases in PE prices in the futures market gave some confidence for market players to procure some materials. However, the trader predicts that local PE prices have some room to decrease in the future as foreign suppliers turn aggressive in offering their cargoes.
