- A Chinese trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that offers for localized HDPE Film and LDPE Film from the trader remain stable on a daily comparison as there are no significant movements in the futures market. Offers for localized HDPE Film and LDPE Film from the Middle East stood between CNY7,400-7,500/ton ($1,037-1,051/ton) and CNY7,500-7,600/ton ($1,051-1,065/ton) on cash, EXW China basis and including 13% VAT, respectively. The trader also informed that demand for PE is dull as orders from downstream customers are limited. As such, the trader opined that PE prices will continue to fluctuate.
- Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the inventory level of two major Chinese polyolefins producers is relatively low. As of Tuesday morning, May 26, the inventory stood at 765,000 tons. The level is 25,000 tons lower compared to Monday’s level.
