- A South Korean producer’s source reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that the company’s current offer for HDPE Film to the China market is $30/ton higher as compared to last week’s level. To date, the producer has managed to sell some volume at $740/ton on LC 90 days, CIF China Main Port basis, or $10/ton lower than the initial offer level. Today, buying sentiment in the China market is quite good even though there are some decreases in the futures market. Additionally, the source stated that the firmer prices were supported by the absence of inventory pressure on the Chinese producers’ end.
- Meanwhile, a source from a Thai PE producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has announced this week’s offers for HDPE Film, LDPE Film, and LLDPE Film C4 to the China market. For HDPE Film, the offers currently stand at $800/ton, higher by $20/ton. For LDPE Film, the offers remained stable at $830/ton. Both compared to last week’s offers. Whereas for LLDPE Film C4, offer is available at $770/ton, or $30/ton higher than last week’s done deal level. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF China Main Port basis. Today, the China market is quieter than Monday. The source assumed that the quieter market might be caused by the drop in crude oil prices last night.
