- A Vietnamese trader contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM’s team revealed that the company managed to sell Saudi cargoes at the initial offer levels this week. Deals were concluded at $700/ton for HDPE Film and $750/ton for LLDPE Film C4, all on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam main port basis. Besides, the trader also managed to sell Thai LDPE Film cargoes with deals closed at $840/ton with the same payment and delivery term.
- An Indonesian converter informed SSESSMENTS.COM that offers for localized cargoes from traders’ end are very competitive. Localized Thai HDPE Film offers are available at IDR13,200,000/ton ($828/ton), while localized LLDPE Film C4 of Malaysia origin at IDR12,800,000/ton ($803/ton), all on cash, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT. Even though the offers are attractive, the converter is not in the position to procure materials as stocks remain sufficient. Demand-wise, the converter still received some orders that can support the company to run production at normal capacity this week. However, the converter worries that the company will be on halt next week since there are no new orders received until now.
