- An Indonesian trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM that this week, local offers declined due to stronger Rupiah. Offers for local HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from two local producers stood between IDR13,500,000-13,700,000/ton ($860-873/ton) on 30 days credit term, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT. However, the trader stated that the current offers are negotiable depending on the quantity and payment term. Demand-wise, limited transactions recorded due to the social restriction in several cities, such as Jakarta.
- While in Thailand, a local distributor commented that local HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 from a local producer decreased by THB500/ton ($15/ton) compared to last week’s level. The producer also gave a hint that they might increase the offers following the uptrend in China market. However, so far, buyers are not interested in taking a big volume and keep purchasing on a need basis due to the sluggish finished product demand. The distributor opined to SSESSMENTS.COM that the uptrend in the China market is contradicting with the current global market condition, as such, the situation is expected to fall short.
