- An Indonesian converter informed SSESSMENTS.COM on deals level for PE cargoes from the largest local trading house. The converter purchased local HDPE Film and localized Southeast Asian LDPE Film at IDR100,000/ton ($7/ton) lower than the initial offer levels at IDR14,100,000/ton ($967/ton) and IDR14,800,000/ton ($1,015/ton), respectively on 30 days credit term, FD Indonesia basis and excluding 10% VAT. Likewise, deals for local LLDPE Film C4 cargoes achieved at IDR150,000/ton ($10/ton) lower than the initial offer level at IDR14,050,000/ton ($963/ton) on the same payment and delivery terms. Meanwhile, the converter still yet to purchase PE materials from the leading Indonesian polyolefins producer as the current offers from the producer are deemed too high; as such, the converter will be sourcing additional volume from traders.
- Whereas in Vietnam, SSESSMENTS.COM noted that a trader maintains stable offers for localized Malaysian LDPE Film and South Korean LLDPE Film C4 to traders. While to converters, the trader increased offers for both products by VND1,000,000/ton ($43/ton) and VND200,000-500,000/ton ($9-21/ton), respectively, compared to last week’s levels. The trader plans to apply another increment of VND1,000,000/ton ($43/ton) for localized PE offers in the upcoming week following the uptrend in the import market.
