- As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM on March 25, a source from a Middle Eastern PE producer revealed offers for April shipment to Southeast Asia market. As informed, the producer decided to trim offers for HDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 by $30/ton and between $40-50/ton, respectively compared to March shipment. The current offers for both cargoes stand at $830/ton on LC at sight, CIF Southeast Asia Main Port basis. The producer source added that sales for PE resins in Southeast Asia market are slow as demand for finished products remains sluggish amid lockdown and curfew imposed by the government in several countries in the region to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
- Likewise, a converter-based in Vietnam informed on receiving April shipment offers for LLDPE Film C4 from a Saudi producer at $850/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. At the time of publication, the converter has yet to conclude any deals. On the production sector, the converter’s factories are running at a normal rate as they are located in a safe zone. Additionally, all of their factories’ workers are working as normal, SSESSMENTS.COM was told.
