- On April 23, the largest local trading house in Indonesia informed SSESSMENTS.COM that offers for local and localized Southeast Asian PP Homo Raffia cargoes from the company’s end were lowered by IDR200,000/ton ($13/ton) as compared to last week’s level. This week, demand for PP resins in the domestic market remains sluggish amid Coronavirus fears. Meanwhile, the trader itself is also adopting a wait-and-see position and not in the mood to ask more inquiries or receive offers from other suppliers.
- Whereas in Vietnam, a trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that local offers for PP Homo Raffia were mostly stable from a week earlier, available at VND23,000,000/ton ($975/ton) on cash, FD Vietnam basis and excluding 10% VAT. Following the crude oil prices slump in early this week, buyers are now unwilling to accept high prices. Demand is sluggish at the moment, but slightly better compared to a fortnight ago.
