- A trader in Thailand contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM informed that last week’s offers for local PP Homo Raffia cargoes from a polyolefins producer in the country were hiked by THB1,000/ton ($31/ton) on week-on-week comparison. This price was considered firm and only supported by tight supply from the producer’s end, while demand has yet to pick up. As such, the trader opined that last week’s firm prices would not sustain despite the higher feedstock prices since the fundamental factor has yet to recover.
- The leading Indonesian polyolefins producer has announced the fresh price list for the week commencing May 25. SSESSMENTS.COM noted that offers for PP Homo Raffia have increased by IDR200,000/ton ($13/ton) as compared to last week’s price list announced on May 18.
