- A Vietnamese trader contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM informed that PP Homo Raffia offers from local producers’ end have increased between VND200,000-400,000/ton ($9-17/ton) compared to last week’s level. In the import market, Saudi PP Homo Raffia cargoes increased by $20/ton from last week’s level. While for Southeast Asian cargoes, offers for PP Homo Raffia of Thailand origin at $940/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam main port basis was deemed too high. As such, the trader opined that no buyers would be willing to take the cargoes.
- The leading Indian petrochemical producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM pertaining to the allocation of materials. According to the producer source, as the Indian government announced some relaxations on the lockdown in these last two weeks, most factories in the country are back in operation. At the moment, 60% of PP production is allocated to the domestic market, and the rest is for the export market. Earlier, when India has just started announcing the lockdown, the producer had to push 75% of the allocation to the export market.
