An Australian trader reported to SSESSMENTS.COM on receiving import PE offers of various origins with notable changes, but skipped procuring as the offers are considered unworkable. This week, the latest offers for import LDPE Film of Singapore origin recorded higher by $50/ton compared to last month’s level, standing at $925/ton on LC at sight, CIF Australia Main Port basis. Since the prices are deemed too high, the trader decided not to proceed with the procurement.
Likewise, import offers for US mLLDPE C6 cargoes also emerged in the Australia market between $50-60/ton higher than two weeks ago. The trader revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that the supplier even already indicated further upward adjustments for mLLDPE C6 cargoes by $60/ton in the days to come. Furthermore, the trader is no longer sourcing LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from the Singaporean producer since they have stopped producing that particular grade and all LLDPE Film C4 orders received by the producer will be shipped from the US.
