A global trading house informed SSESSMENTS.COM about China, Middle East, Kenya, Nigeria polypropylene (PP) market update. The trader said that the African market is slow. It’s the last week before the holiday, and the customers' inventory is sufficient. Therefore, there are no strong requests from them.
Speaking further about prices with SSESSMENTS.COM, the trader said that China PP Homo Raffia is available at $920/ton CIF Apapa port, Nigeria, and $900/ton CIF Mombasa port, Kenya. Meanwhile, North Africa is usually buying from Middle Eastern producers because it’s closer and cheaper, but the producers said that they are already done with the December shipment. The next offers from Middle Eastern suppliers will come back in January. Last week, Middle East-origin cargoes were available in Northern Africa at $850/ton for PP Homo Raffia and $900/ton for PP Block Copolymer. All offers are on LC at sight.
