China’s largest acetylene-based PVC producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM on the latest adjustment on export PVC offers and their plans to focus more on the domestic market. This week, the producer decided to adjust up export PVC offers by $70/ton compared to last week’s level as the company plans to focus more on the domestic market amidst the limited supply. Current PVC offers are available at $880/ton on LC at sight, FOB China basis. Due to the higher offers, no deals concluded so far.
Likewise, local PVC offers from the producer also moved up by CNY200-300/ton ($29-43/ton) as compared to last week. The producer opined to SSESSMENTS.COM that considering the relatively low inventory at most PVC producers in China, the chance for PVC prices to decrease is slim.
