A global trading house revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM the transactions for import PE and PP cargoes to Vietnam market. On June 11, deals for US HDPE Blow Moulding and LLDPE Film C4 were concluded at $20-30/ton higher compared to deals in the previous two weeks. The trader stated that the response for US cargoes was quite satisfactory. While for HDPE Blow Moulding of Saudi origin, the offers stood at $800/ton and there was no deal concluded. For import LDPE Film cargoes of Middle East origin, the offers increased by $30/ton from a fortnight ago to $910-920/ton and deals were achieved at $10-20/ton lower from the initial offer level. All offers were on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. The trader added that the company received bids for Saudi HDPE Pipe Black at $30/ton lower from the initial offer level. However, buyers already secured cargoes from other suppliers by the time the trader willing to approve the bids.
As informed to SSESSMENTS.COM, the offers for PP Homo Raffia from a Saudi producer also captured higher by $50/ton from two weeks earlier. For deals, it was concluded at $10/ton lower from the initial offer level. The offers for PP Homo Raffia from another Saudi producer were recorded at $930/ton on LC at sight, CIF Vietnam Main Port basis. Despite the high price, buyers were willing to accept the offers, and deals were achieved at the initial offer level.
