A global trading house shared with SSESSMENTS.COM on the latest import PE and PP offers of several origins to the Indonesia market. This week, offers for Indian HDPE Mono and HDPE Yarn stand at $760/ton, while for Thai HDPE Blow Moulding and HDPE Yarn, the offers are available at $820/ton and $800/ton, respectively. So far, no deals concluded yet for both Indian and Thai cargoes. As for US cargoes, offers for LLDPE Film C4 at $730-740/ton deemed unattractive by buyers. Buyers submit bids at $10-20/ton lower than the initial offers. However, the trader still has not accepted the bids yet. Demand-wise, despite the limited LLDPE Film C4 allocation from the leading Indonesian polyolefins producer, the current PE market remains slow.
Meanwhile, Middle Eastern PP Homo Raffia offers at $840/ton failed to gain interest from buyers as they are unwilling to take the cargoes at such a level. Moreover, most converters in Indonesia have sufficient PP inventory up to June or July production, SSESSMENTS.COM was told. While offers for PP Block Copolymer of South Korea origin stand at $900-930/ton. All offers are on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis.
