SSESSMENTS.COM was told that a global trading house is utilizing the current momentum to move PVC cargoes to the Bangladesh market. As reported, the trader managed to sell around 1,700 tons of ethylene-based PVC cargoes from a Taiwanese and a US producer to the Bangladesh market. For Taiwanese cargoes, deals were concluded at $860/ton, which is $20/ton higher than the done deal level last month. While for US cargoes, deals were achieved at $10-30/ton than last month’s deals.
At the moment, the trader acknowledges that the Bangladesh PVC market is showing positive response following the uptrend in August shipment offers. As such, the trader is focusing on selling PVC cargoes until next week and aiming to sell another 3,000-4,000 tons to the Bangladesh market before the market turns quiet due to the Eid Al-Adha holiday at the end of July. Further added to SSESSMENTS.COM, there are still some inquiries received for PVC, however, the trader is still waiting for the price quotation from the leading Taiwanese PVC producer.
