This week, the converter received import HDPE Pipe Black (100) offers from a South Korean producer and a Thai PE producer at $50/ton higher on the monthly comparison. The converter opined that the producers should be willing to give a discount of up to $50/ton since the converter is a regular customer. From an Emirati producer, the converter as a regular customer received offers for the same product at $1,050/ton. The converter plans to purchase Emirati cargoes on a small quantity.

Additionally, the converter also received import HDPE Pipe Black (100) offers from another South Korean producer at $1,030/ton. As informed by the converter, such a level is a promotional price since the producer just started offering to Indonesia. All import offers are on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis. Meanwhile, a Thai polyolefins producer skipped offering HDPE Pipe Black (100) for August shipment and will only start offering for September shipment due to no allocation.
