Import LLDPE Film C4 offers on LC at sight, CFR Indonesia main port basis
A regional trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM that import LLDPE Film C4 offers to Indonesia gained cold responses despite supply issues in the local market. The trader offered LLDPE Film C4 cargoes of Philippines origin to Indonesia at quite competitive levels, between $920-930/ton on LC at sight, CFR Indonesia main port basis and expected good responses considering supply shortage for local materials. However, since the offers are for August shipment, buyers showed little interest in the offers. Most buyers inquired for prompt delivery cargoes, the trader added further. There were some customers who placed bids for the cargoes, but all were below $900/ton-level and the trader rejected such bids.
The trader also mentioned to SSESSMENTS.COM that demand for PE in Indonesia this week is stable from last week. Looking ahead, the trader opined that import PE prices will not drop in the near term. The prices are more likely to stabilize at the current levels in July due to tight supply.
