An Indonesian trader revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM that most foreign producers postpone giving their new offers to the market this week as Eid Al-Fitr holiday is just around the corner. According to the trader, import offers remain scarce to date as most producers plan to release fresh offers post-holiday. The trader also pointed out that market sentiment has not shown a sense of relief, in view of the prevailing weak macroeconomics conditions amid pandemic issues.
As contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM on May 19, the trader expressed their sell idea for Middle Eastern PP Homo Raffia at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia Main Port basis, or $10/ton higher than the offer level available last week. For Indian Subcontinent origin, the trader is offering Indian PP Homo Raffia cargoes at $820/ton with the same payment and delivery terms. So far, the trader has yet to receive any feedback from the customers. This week, no fresh import offers available for Far East Asia origin.
