A Japanese PVC producer informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the company has started offering first half July shipment cargoes to the India market. At the moment, the offers for ethylene-based PVC cargoes from the producer are available at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF Nhava Sheva Port, or $40/ton higher than last month's level. For the first half of the month’s shipment, the allocation from the producer is normal; around 2,000-3,000 tons. So far, the producer has received some orders from customers and some deals were successfully concluded at the current level. Further added, the producer anticipates a positive overall response from market players.
Regarding July shipment offers, the producer voiced out to SSESSMENTS.COM that the upcoming offers should not be adjusted dramatically such as $100/ton. However, it would be better to monitor the market direction first in the near future before making any decision, the producer reckoned. On the production sector, the producer plans to shut PVC plant within this week for maintenance purpose, but the exact date could not be ascertained yet.
