Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the leading Indian petrochemical producer has revised local prices for May. For PVC, the producer decided to cut prices by INR3,500/ton ($47/ton) and withdraw price protection. Likewise, the producer adjusted down PET prices by INR3,000/ton ($40/ton). For PP, prices for May are a rolled over, except for PP Fiber and Filament grade increased by INR1,000/ton ($13/ton). For PE, offers for HDPE Blow Moulding and LLDPE Film dropped by INR3,000/ton ($40/ton) and INR2,000/ton ($26/ton) respectively. While LDPE offers dipped by INR3,000/ton ($40/ton), except for LDPE Extrusion Coating and Lamination maintained stable. All with effect from May 1, 2020.
