NewsSSESSMENTS: Leading Saudi Polyolefin Producer Shares Consideration For Current Pricing Strategy To China Market

The leading Saudi polyolefins producer shared with SSESSMENTS.COM consideration for the current pricing strategy to China market. As reported, the producer maintained HDPE Film, LDPE Film and LLDPE Film C4 offers to China market stable from last week, citing that if they reduced offers, it will cause more panic in the market as the company is an upstream producer. Some deals were successfully concluded at the initial offer level, while some at $10-20/ton lower than the initial offer levels depending on the number of purchases and customers’ relationship with the producer. 

For the allocation, the producer already sold 1,340 tons and there are only 260 tons left to achieve the monthly target. “Despite the current sales, we are still facing sales pressure as all shipments should be done within a month while some customers have not paid the bill yet and it will lead to delay in shipments,” the producer explained further to SSESSMENTS.COM.
