A Malaysian distributor is facing delivery issues for PS and ABS cargoes as the company is still waiting for the approval from the government. As informed to SSESSMENTS.COM, the distributor does not have the approval to resume operation and is still waiting for a reply from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). Meanwhile, some of the distributor’s customers have resumed production activities and are asking for materials to be delivered.
Further explained, the Malaysian government decided to extend the Movement Control Order (MCO) until April 28 with further extension remains in view. The distributor hoped that manufacturers and industries are allowed to resume activities even if the MCO extended to avoid more losses, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM. Pertaining to offers, the distributor informed that offers for import Taiwanese GPPS Injection remain stable from last week. Meanwhile, offers for ABS Injection decreased by $10/ton compared to the same period.
