SSESSMENTS.COM noted that a Malaysian polyolefins producer applied various pricing strategies for June shipment to Southeast Asian countries. Market players in the Philippines and Vietnam reported that offers for June shipment are higher as compared to a month earlier. Offers for most PE and PP grades from the producer to the Philippines increased by $20/ton. As for LDPE Film, the producer’s offers to the country went up by $50/ton.
Similarly, Vietnamese market players reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that June shipment offers from the producer for HDPE Film and LDPE Film increased by $20/ton and $50/ton, respectively. For PP, PP Homo Raffia and PP Homo Injection offers were adjusted up by $10/ton. On the other hand, the producer decreased most PP offers to Indonesia by $20/ton while offers for LDPE Film and LDPE Lamination were trimmed by $10/ton. For HDPE grades, the producer kept offers to Indonesia unchanged from May shipment levels.
