A Pakistani trader informed SSESSMENTS.COM on the latest adjustment on import Middle Eastern PE and PP offers to the country. As compared to last week, offers for Middle Eastern HDPE Blow Moulding moved up by $30/ton. In contrast, offers for LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from the same origin dropped by $10/ton compared to the same period following the lower ethylene prices coupled with slow demand for this product. For LDPE Film, the offers stand at $1,030/ton on LC at sight, CFR Karachi Port. No comparison available as the trader did not have offers for these materials in the previous week. As for PP, PP Homo Film and PP Homo Raffia from a Saudi producer are available at $1,030/ton and $980/ton, respectively on the same payment and delivery terms.
As mentioned before, according to the trader, overall polymers demand in Pakistan remains on a soft note this week, especially for LLDPE Film C4. Buyers still cannot fully accept current high prices available in the market; due to this, the number of deals for LLDPE Film C4 from the trader’s end is quite limited. However, since most buyers halted procurements activities for July shipment, the trader predicts that they will start to replenish inventory in August, which will improve LLDPE Film C4 demand, as stated to SSESSMENTS.COM.
