A PVC producer in Thailand revealed to ssessments.com that local ethylene-based PVC offers from the company’s end took a different path from the international market trend due to slow demand in the country. The latest offers from the producer surfaced with a reduction of THB500/ton ($16.3/ton) compared to the previous month.
In general, ssessments.com was informed that demand for PVC in Thailand remains on a soft note on the back of the monsoon season, particularly demand from the pipe sector. The producer claimed to have no inventory pressure although domestic demand is softening.
