A regional trader contacted by SSESSMENTS.COM revealed sell idea for Philippines LLDPE Film C4 cargoes to Indonesia market along with reasons behind the scarce Vietnamese PP offers in the Southeast Asia market. As contacted on June 19, a regional trader revealed on purchasing LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from the leading Philippines polyolefins producer at $840/ton on LC at sight, FOB Philippines basis. Next week, the trader is planning to export cargoes to Indonesia with sell idea at $20-30/ton higher from the costs of procurements, believed it should be accepted by buyers.
For PP, the trader managed to sell import Vietnamese PP Homo Raffia cargoes to Philippines market at $960/ton on LC at sight, CIF Main Port basis. As informed to SSESSMENTS.COM, the trader received a lot of inquiries from the Philippines buyers this week yet only able to sell around six containers due to limited stocks and buyers’ acceptance level remains low at below $1,000/ton. The trader added that offers for Vietnamese PP cargoes in Southeast Asia market are scarce since the Vietnamese producers focus on fulfilling domestic demand and selling to China market. Due to this, the trader expects to see July shipment offers for non-dutiable PP Homo Raffia cargoes at around $1,000/ton-level in the near term.
