A producer source reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that Reliance Industries Limited has brought its two PVC plants on-line. Based on the information provided by the source, the company’s PVC plant located in Hazira, India, with a production capacity of 375,000 tons/year has already resumed production since April 19. Likewise, the company’s PVC plant located in Vadodara, with a capacity of 70,000 tons/year, has also restarted up on April 24. Currently, both PVC plants are running at 90-95% from normal capacity. As such, all company’s PVC plants are currently running.
The source also informed SSESSMENTS.COM that DCW Limited’s 150,000 tons/year PVC plant has been brought on stream since April 23. Additionally, DCM Shriram is most likely to restart production at its PVC plant with a capacity of 70,000 tons/year by next week, while Finolex’s PVC plants with a total capacity of 135,000 tons/year might take longer to be back on-stream.
