Comments by market players on LLDPE Film C4 market as follows:
“We purchased LLDPE Film C4 cargoes from a Middle Eastern PE producer at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF Thailand main port basis. The deal was $10/ton lower than the initial offers. We also received offers for the same cargoes from a Chinese trader at $40/ton lower than the producer’s official offers. Despite the low level, we had no intention to purchase from the trader as we never conducted any transactions before. Therefore, we do not know whether the shipment will be smooth or not,” a Thai trader told SSESSMENTS.COM.
“We received offers for US LLDPE Film C4 at $800/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis. The offers are too high as using the current naphtha price, US LLDPE Film C4 should be at $670/ton with the same payment and delivery terms,” an Indonesian converter commented.
“Offers for LLDPE Film C4 from a Middle Eastern producer dropped by $40/ton compared to March. The offers stand at $840/ton on LC at sight, CIF Philippines main port basis,” a Philippines converter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM.
“Our offers for LLDPE Film C4 this week are $40-50/ton lower than last week’s levels. It is very hard to conclude deals as PE prices are predicted to move lower. It is possible to see prices at $550/ton-level onward,” the marketing arm of a Middle Eastern PE producer informed.
“We conclude deals with a Saudi PE producer for LLDPE Film C4 at $20/ton lower while deals for LLDPE Film C4 of Canada origin were at $60/ton lower than the initial offer levels,” a Malaysian converter reported.
“LLDPE Film C4 offers from Saudi were adjusted down by $50/ton compared to last week, hence, the offers were already below $800/ton-level,” a Vietnamese trader said to SSESSMENTS.COM’s team.
“Offers for LLDPE Film C4 from Saudi with shipment from Singapore were still at $810/ton on LC at sight, CIF Cambodia main port basis,” a trader based in Singapore informed.
“We decreased LLDPE Film C4 offers to Indonesia between $20-30/ton compared to last week. However, buyers’ buy ideas were $50/ton lower than the initial offer levels, or between $740-750/ton on LC at sight, CIF Indonesia main port basis,” a Thai PE producer revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM.
“We decreased offers for LLDPE Film C4 by $30/ton compared to the offers we announced last week. We made adjustments as our offer levels between $820-830/ton on LC at sight, CIF Southeast Asia main port basis were considered unworkable,” a Middle Eastern PE producer stated.
