Market sources informed SSESSMENTS.COM that polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producers in Russia had revised their maintenance plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. Kaustik (Volgograd) will perform maintenance at its 90,000 tons/year PVC unit for three weeks starting on May 1, earlier than its initial plans.
Market sources told SSESSMENTS.COM that RusVinyl postponed a two-week turnaround at its 330,000 tons/year PVC plant. The maintenance was initially planned to begin at the second half of April but was then postponed to in July. The revised date for the maintenance remains unspecified.
SayanskKhimPlast usually performs a turnaround at its 350,000 tons/year PVC plant in June-July. However, it remains unclear whether the producer will adjust its maintenance plans.
