A trader in China informed SSESSMENTS.COM that the current supply condition provides a cushion for ethylene-based PVC offers in the country. Meanwhile, offers for acetylene-based PVC were adjusted down by CNY100/ton ($14/ton) compared to last week due to bearish buying sentiment. According to the trader, ethylene-based PVC offers remain stable compared to the same period as supply is not as ample as supply for acetylene-based PVC.
The trader further reported to SSESSMENTS.COM about acetylene-based PVC inventory in coastal China this week. As of Monday morning (July 27), the inventory stood at 262,600 tons, decreasing by 1,900 tons. In detail, the inventory in South China dropped by 4,000 tons to 37,500 tons while the inventory in East China increased by 2,100 tons to 225,100 tons. All changes are compared to last week’s level.
