A source with knowledge of the matter reported to SSESSMENTS.COM that Indonesia Pertamina experienced an unplanned shutdown at its PP plant. As informed, the producer has shut its PP plant since last Monday, April 27, 2020, due to polymerization issues at the plant. Located in Plaju, Palembang, South Sumatra, the PP plant with a production capacity of 45,000 tons/year is initially expected to resume within last week. However, since the maintenance has not finished yet, hence, the producer extends the shutdown period until May 6.
