A Chinese trader revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM the updates on local PE and PP prices in the country as of April 17. Compared to the price list received on Tuesday, April 14, local offers for some HDPE grades increased by CNY100/ton ($14/ton) while some others remain unchanged. Contrastingly, offers for LDPE and LLDPE C4 grades surfaced with a reduction of between CNY300-700/ton ($42-98/ton). Similarly, offers for local PP across all grades dropped between CNY500-2,000/ton ($70-282/ton), except for PP Homo Fiber and a certain grade of PP Homo Raffia which were kept at stable levels as compared to the same period.
